Zine East

I received this announcement by Facebook.

I was working on a poem The Great Rotation or How to think of the Earth. My poems are a continuous long poem made in thinking about what I am painting at the time and the surrounding contexts.

I have a lot of rough poetry that I edit by Tweeting each verse on Twitter. Right now it is a long poem about 100 pages and after each page, 4 or 5 verses,  I have been adding a drawing which I make on the subways each day going to Manhattan.

I call them Subway Drawings.

I already have all the content for a zine and liked the idea that a one page form mimicked the folded paper I kept in my pocket to draw on.

I saw the one page form here on the internet and decided to adopt it.

I liked the idea of making a poster on the reverse side of each paper.

In my studio I work on drawings of Flashe paint, a matt acrylic, preparing for larger paintings in oil paint.

I use them for the cover and back as they seem to have the main idea as to what I am going after as an idea.
